Short version: nothing is measured until you accept, we do not run any advertising, and we do not ask anything about your child.

Cookies and audience measurement
We count visits with Google Analytics, to see which activities actually help you. This measurement is off by default: until you click Accept in the banner, no cookie is set and Google receives no identifier. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, since a consent cookie would itself need to be declared.
You can change your mind by clearing the site data for semilou.com in your browser: the banner will reappear.
On the collection page, the payment form is provided by Stripe, our payment processor, which sets its own technical cookies needed for transaction security. We do not use any advertising pixel and do not run targeted ads.
Fonts are served from our own server, not from a third-party service: your IP address is not shared with anyone besides our host.
Your child's data
We do not collect any data about your child. The site has no account, no sign-up form, and no questionnaire about their age or development. If a personalized program is ever built, it will use only the strict minimum (an age group, possibly a first name), and this page will be updated before it launches.
If you write to us
When you send us an email, we receive your address and the content of your message. This information is used only to reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling your request.
Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request, then deleted. They are never sold, shared, or used to send you anything other than the reply you asked for.
If you request a site license
The form on the page for schools and daycares sends us the name and type of your program, your country, the number of children involved, the age groups you need, the intended use, your name, your email address, and your message. This information is used only to reply to you and prepare a proposal. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request. It is kept for the duration of the exchange, twelve months at most, and is never shared with anyone. To keep robots out, the form rejects submissions that are too fast and limits the number of requests per hour using a fingerprint of your address, computed with a key that changes daily: the address itself is not stored.
If you make a purchase
Payment is processed by Stripe, which collects your email address, your country, and your card details. We never see your card number and never store it anywhere. We keep no customer file: buyer addresses stay in our Stripe dashboard.
Your address is used first to fulfill the sale, meaning to send your receipt and to reply if delivery fails. Legal basis: performance of the contract. Sale-related records are kept for seven years, as required by Belgian accounting law.
We may also write to you about new content similar to what you purchased. Legal basis: our legitimate interest, within the scope set by article XII.13 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. You can opt out as soon as you buy, and every message includes a link to stop receiving anything. We do not sell or share your address, and we do not run any targeted advertising.
Server logs
Like any website, our host keeps technical logs (IP address, page requested, date). They are used for security and for the service to run properly, and are kept for a limited time by the host. We only look at them to confirm a purchase was delivered or to diagnose an outage.
We also keep our own visit log, intentionally anonymous: for each arrival on the site, we note the page viewed, the site that sent you to us, the page's language, and whether you are on a phone. No IP address, no cookie, no identifier: two visits from the same person, back to back, look identical to us, and nothing is stored on your device. This only tells us which paths bring people to the site.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, email contact@semilou.com.
You can also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
